BREEAM Excellent Refurb
Hunters have gained the UKs first BREEAM Domestic Refurbishment Certificate for a 1950’s 3-bedroom semi-detached property refurbished in Halstead, near Braintree. Used as one of the pilot projects it scored highly in all of the extended issues now covered by BREEAM. These range from reducing the carbon footprint to improving security and accessibility. Despite the outstanding reduction to the carbon footprint, no unrealistic costs were added to a standard refurbish budget.
Green Count:
- external insulation 'wrap'
- loft and floorboard insulation
- triple glazed, partly recycled windows
- airtight doors / sealed skirtings / chimney flue
- mechanical ventilation / heat pump
- pV's
- water reduction measures

Remodelling
Refurbiishing buildings is a sustainable way of developing and updating existing environments. We rise to the challenge of creating new space out of an already existing one.
